Simon F. Godin is a Canadian horror and psychological thriller author whose work explores dread, paranoia, and slow-burning emotional tension. Holding degrees in psychology and neuroscience, he has long been fascinated by the darker corners of human behaviour and consciousness.
His obsession with horror and storytelling began at a very young age after discovering Stephen King at eight years old, admittedly much younger than he should have. Somehow, he quite literally went from Charlotte’s Web to Cujo and has never looked back. Since then, he has been drawn to stories that unsettle and linger long after the final page.
Although Simon dreamed of writing novels for nearly two decades, he always found reasons to postpone it: school, work, and the demands of everyday life. Everything changed when he was diagnosed with blood cancer. While undergoing chemotherapy, he spent much of his time at home with limited energy and few distractions. Looking for a way to occupy his time, he finally began writing. What started as a way to pass the time quickly became an obsession, eventually growing into his debut novel, In Their Eyes.
Now a cancer survivor, Simon continues to write and explore the unsettling themes that have gripped him for years. He is currently working on his second novel.
When he isn’t writing, Simon enjoys reading, spending time with his friends and family, and cheering on the Boston Celtics.
